Technorati’s State of the Blogosphere 2008

by Bryan on September 23, 2008

In case you’ve missed it Technorati is unveiling its annual State of the Blogosphere this week. The report is being phased over a 5 day period and features some very interesting blogging trends.

The report has already raised some eyebrows regarding a claim that blogs with 100,000 or more unique visitors per month have a mean revenue of $75,000 per year.  The number does seem quite high for 100k uniques but I think the “or more” portion of the statement probably has it skewed upward a bit.  All this has me particularly interested in the Day 4: Blogging For Profit piece.  Should provide some good reading regardless.

Expect a opinionated overview here after the full report is released.
